Ramassery Studio  Recording the R.E.Generation

The Ramassery Studio was thoughtfully set up in Rajam Sitaraman’s room, a space filled with memory and meaning, to record video reflections from senior members of the family. This studio became a quiet, powerful archive where voices from across branches came together to capture living memories of the R.E.Generation - their values, personalities, and life lessons.

Through these recordings, grandchildren and elders reflected on parents and grandparents, sharing personal anecdotes, traits, and enduring principles that shaped the family.

The sessions included:
1. REVT grandsons - Muthu, Jayaram and Aravind on R.E Venkitambal  (REVT)
2.
Geetha Kesavan on R.E Gayathrinadhan and Rugmani Gayathrinadhan (REGN)
3. Shyamala Sundareswaran and Kannan on R.E. Narayanan & Lokambal Narayanan
4. Shyamala Sundareswaran on R.E. Subramaniyan & Krishnambal
5. Shobha and Kunjan on R.E Sitaraman (RESI)
6. Jamna Parameshwaran on R.E Narayani (RENI)

These videos emerged as one of the most treasured outcomes of the meetup - described as a lasting family legacy that preserves not just stories, but values and identity.

From these recordings, clear Ramassery family tenets surfaced:

  1. REVT: Nera Po, Nera Va
  2. REGN: Porummai (Patience)
  3. RESI: Be Straight and Discipline
  4. RENI: Chumma Varumma?

The Ramassery Studio stood as a living bridge between generations - quiet, intentional, and deeply rooted, ensuring that the wisdom of the elders is preserved for the R.E.Generation and beyond.
